July 2008 - Akérys, founder member of "Toulouse 2013"
The Akérys Group supports Toulouse in its candidacy to be the European Capital of Culture in 2013. The great ambition of this project "Toulouse 2013-2023" is to pass on to our children a nicer city to live in. Akérys is involved in the workshop dedicated to urbanistic and achitectural development. Grâce à cet espace de travail Jacques Seguin, directeur régional d’Akérys, comme d’autres éminents experts internationaux , communiquent et travaillent , en temps réél, sur les grandes lignes d’un nouveau programme d’urbanisme et de développement pour Toulouse et sa région, à l’horizon 2023.
May 2008 - Akérys at a meeting to facilitate home ownership
François Jouven, President of Akérys, will take part in June 2008 in the First "Rencontres pour l’Accession Populaire à la Propriété", which will focus on the different ways to facilitate home ownership by the working class. Mrs Boutin, the French Ministry of Housing, will also participate.
May 2008 - Gilles de Robien at the IFB France seminar
The Akérys Group welcomed Gilles de Robien at the IFB-France annual seminar, where 800 commercial councellors met in a warm atmosphere. The former Minister of Housing recalled the efficiency of the "Robien system he initiated to irrigate France with new housings. He laid stress on the essential economic and social implications of all the people involved in the rental investment market.
July 2007 - €300m high yield floating-rate note
Akerys has finalized the offering of a €300m high yield floating-rate notes. Proceeds refinance existing debt and facilitate the financial maneuverability of the Group. The Group was assigned a BB corporate rating by Standard & Poors and Ba2 by Moodys, the bond being rated BB- and Ba3. Read the French press release.
May 2007 - Akerys is selected to develop the site of the former plants of Rossignol in Voiron
Akerys has been selected to develop the site left by Rossignol in Voiron (Isère), before Nexity, Icade and Bouygues. By June 2008, ca. 700 housings will be built, among which 300 are destined for occupation by the owner, 150 for social housings, the rest being housing units for investment. The site will include a seniors residence, a day nursery and shops. Read the French press release.
January 2007 - Jean-Claude Szaleniec joins Akerys
Jean-Claude Szaleniec joins Akerys as Director of development and diversification. Jean-Claude is 51. He began his carrer in the Maison Familiale Group. He then joined the HLM administration (public sector housing) and took part in the creation of Maisons d’en France. He joined Icade, the real estate subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts (a French state-owned financial institution), as sales and marketing manager of Capri, President of Eurostudiomes and President of Symphoniales. He was recently President of BNP Paribas Espaces Immobiliers, the new subsidiary dedicated to sale of residential properties.
September 2005 - François JOUVEN, new President of Akerys.
François JOUVEN is the new President of the Akerys Group and succeeds to Maxime Basaïa, one of the founders of the group. Mr Jouven, 59, is a graduate of Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA). He has held several positions in the French Industry Ministry, then in the Crédit Agricole ((French bank). However, the main part of his carrer at the Caisse des Dépôts (CDC), a French state-owned financial institution, among others as as President of ICADE, the real estate subsidiary of the CDC, and as Director of Local and Regional Development.
July 2006 – Qualis takes control of Akerys
In early July 2006, Qualis increased its stake in Akerys from 28.24% to 63.70%. As when Qualis bought its initial stake in January 2004, this investment took place as part of an LBO.
June 2006 - Akerys features in the real estate developer rankings for the first time
January 2006 - Akerys launches two pilot initiatives concerning energy saving and sustainable development
Akerys has demonstrated its specialist expertise with (i) the installation of solar panels in a residential building at La Seyne sur Mer, which will cover 55% of users’ annual hot water requirements, saving 7 tonnes of CO2 per year, and (ii) the installation of a water conservation system in the town of Saint-Gilles.
November 2005 – Creation of Akerys, a new major player in the real estate market
4M, Actif+ and IFB have been combined to form Akerys. Since its creation, Akerys has been one of France’s top three real estate developers in terms of units sold, with more than 13,000 residential units under construction. Akerys is also a leading player in residential real estate services, with almost 17,000 rentals expected in 2005/06 along with 34,100 managed units in condominium buildings. Akerys employs 1,485 staff and had sales of €689 million in 2004/05.
